Organisational Structure
The garden is subservient to horticultural departments of the university and to other organisations and introduces new plant material.
The garden consists of 13 ha plantings and arrangements including a large baroque-garden established in 1650 and an old Orangery (1807), several plant collections e.g. cacti, Sorbus, E. Asian shrubs and trees, Paeonia, Hosta, Betula, Nordic alpine plants, succulents and water-plants. Besides, an arboretum and a seed collection completes the Botanical Garden.
