Organisational Structure
Shimane Mountainous Region Research Center (SMMRC) was newly founded by Shimane Prefecture in 1998 on the base of the former Akana Branch of Shimane Experimental Station. The purpose of the horticultural section in SMMRC is to develop comprehensive cultivation technique, which is suitable for mountainous region as well as sustainable from the point of utilizing regional resources.
