Organisational Structure
Kochi prefecture is an important agricultural productive region in Japan from winter to spring. The station is making efforts to develop horticulture in Kochi where vegetables and floral crops are produced mainly in greenhouses(vinyl-houses). The crop and horticulture division was organized with five sections, and four of which are presently concerned on horticulture. Each section has 3-5 researchers making a total of 17. Horticulture section has an experimental farm of 2.7 hectares including 40 greenhouses.
