Organisational Structure
The Aichi Agricultural Research Centre covers the Horticulture Institute and the Ornamental Plants Institute. Director of the Centre is Dr. H. Goto.

Research Programs
Vegetables and fruits are studied at Horticulture Institute. This Institute studies the breeding of new vegetable cultivars (tomato, strawberry) and the reproduction of virus-free plants of vegetables and fruits. At Ornamental Plants Institute the breeding of high-quality flowers (chrysanthemum, carnation, roses, orchids) are studied. These Institutes also develop labor saving automated cultivation methods. Studies on soil management, nutrition diagnosis, crop protection and forecasting are also carried out.
