Organisational Structure
In 1959, the laboratory was established by the Israel Fruit Growers Association to investigate storage problems of apples and pears. The laboratory has since investigated storage questions of a wide range of fruits and vegetables. Its main functions relate to post harvest physiology, controlled atmosphere storage, fruit nutrition and extension.
