Organisational Structure
The Olive and Subtropical Plants Institute performs strategic and applied research in the field of crop amelioration and enhancement of the quality of production, protection and applied technology on subtropical plants and olive trees. There are twelve departments responsible for the research: Irrigation, Physiology and Nutrition, Entomology, Phytopathology, Technology of Olive oil, Subtropical Plants, Citrus Fruits and Trees, Hydroponical Cultures, Floriculture, Olive Crop, Stock Breeding, and Ecophysiology.
