Research Programs
Non profit research Institute, legal Entity of Public Sector financed by the Government through the Ministry of Agriculture. Principal aims of the Institute are:
1) Research on diseases and damages caused in crops by plant pathogens, insects of other animals, as well as by non parasitic agents and weeds;
2) Development of methods of the prevention and control and plant pests, diseases and weeds;
3) Diagnostic work on plant diseases and pests and recommendations of their control;
4) Research on the efficacy, toxicology, residue and adverse effects on the environment of pesticides;
5) Genetic and molecular studies of plant pathogens;
6) Phytosanitary control of imported and exported plants and plant materials.
