Organisational Structure
It is a Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and the Environment and organised in eight Sections, i.e. Field Crops, Horticulture, Plant Protection, Plant Pathology and Biotechnology, Soils and Water Use, Animal Production, Statistics and Computers, and Agricultural Economics. It is a sole institution engaged in agricultural research and depends almost exclusively on Government funding.
